History and Background
MTT Shipping was founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of MTT Group of Companies, a long-established player in the transportation and logistics industry. The company initially offered stevedoring services and cargo transshipment services in George Town, Penang.
With a strong commitment to service development and business expansion, MTT Shipping established its own container shipping fleet, initially chartering 10 vessels for domestic cargo transshipment services in Malaysia.
Today, the company operates a fleet of 12 container ships, with a total cargo capacity of 11,634 TEU. The newest four ships in the fleet are equipped with modern technology and cutting-edge designs.
Shipping Network and Routes
MTT Shipping has a comprehensive service network between Malaysia and Brunei, with six main service routes and a high-frequency sailing schedule, providing maximum service reliability in the market.
In addition, the company has expanded its express shipping services from Bangkok Port and Laem Chabang Port in Thailand to Port Klang in Malaysia to meet customer demands in the region.
